Product Training

Ask Shop Girl offers organized training on kitchenware categories as well targeted training on specific models. You can access the full Kitchenware Training course here.

Why should you offer product training?

A recent study from EduMe on business training practices found that 92% of all business training was face to face1. This takes an incredible amount of time for both new and seasoned staff members. Typically this training is taking place during business hours, meaning that at least two staff members are away from customers with one employee teaching and one trying to absorb as much as possible.

Chances are that there is so much information that a new employee is trying to absorb, that they may have to ask for the same information multiple times. With an online training, your staff has a permanent resource for reference so that everyone gets the same training and ability to access it as many times as needed. No more gaps, skipped or incomplete information. Best of all? It can all be completed outside of business hours so that scheduled time in store is spent with customers.

Meet Jennie (aka Shop Girl)!

From geologist to kitchen store owner, I like to know how things work and why. When I'm not puttering around in Shopify code or Excel spreadsheets, I'm reading cookbooks, hiking the wilds of Montana, and always wondering what to have for dinner.
